Innovation in Information Society
Project "Innovation in Information Society Development in Lithuania" was implemented in July-October 2006 and financed by the Information Society Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. The project was aimed to analyze the current state of innovation in information society and propose main directions of innovation development in the context of information society and guidelines, including tasks and results, for the innovation in information society development program. eSkills Policy
IRII participated as a National Correspondent for Lithuania in the study "eSkillsPolicy - Benchmarking policies on multi-stakeholder partnerships for e-skills in Europe" (eSkills), which was launched by the European Commission DG Enterprise and Industry in 2006 and is carried out by empirica GmbH, Bonn (Germany). The study was finished in November 2007 and the results embrace identification and evaluation of the policies and multi-stakeholder partnerships for e-skills development as well as proposal of ten good practice case studies, a benchmarking framework, and recommendations for policy action. Network of National Correspondents consisted of all EU27 Member States as well as Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey. ConsTrust
IRII participated as a National Correspondent for Lithuania in the study "Measures to Increase Trust and Confidence of Consumers in the Information Society" (ConsTrust), which was launched by the European Commission DG Information Society and Media in 2006 and was carried out by empirica GmbH, Bonn (Germany) together with German Institute for Economic Research (Deutsches Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung). The Study aims to contribute to the understanding of what role consumer trust and confidence plays in Information society, what are the ways for consumer protection, identify good policy practice in the EU Member States, identify the means by which consumer trust and confidence in the Information Society can be effectively fostered. The outcome of the ConsTrust study shall be the recommendations and measures, which can be introduced at the EU level. See more about this study in empirica GmbH website.

MeAc
Currently IRII is participating as a National Correspondent for Lithuania in the study "Measuring Progress of eAccessibility in Europe Details" (MeAC), which was launched by the European Commission in 2006 and is carried out by empirica GmbH, Bonn (Germany). The Study is intended to examine to what extent ICT products and services available in Europe take into account eAccessibility requirements and Design for All principles, to what extent the opportunities offered by assistive technologies are being capitalised on and to assess the impact on costs of accessible and assistive ICT products and services. The outcome of the MeAc study shall be the recommendations for EU policy development in the eAccessibility field. The Study shall end in December 2008. IRII team members have also contributed individually to a large number of other e-government, e-business, IP and ICT policy related projects, including 5 PHARE and Twinning projects.
