Gunaras Terbetas graduated the Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University in 1999. Currently Gunaras Terbetas is practicing neurosurgeon and MD at the Vilnius Emergency Hospital and PhD fellow at the Clinic of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University.

Besides his practical and scientific interests in clinical medicine, Gunaras Terbetas is involved in several social and technology projects aiming at informing and educating society about health issues. He was appointed as the General Director on pro-bono basis at the Internet Research and Innovation Institute in 2006.

Gunaras Terbetas is an author and co-author of several articles in the field of his scientific interests.
