Eglė Malinauskienė is a lecturer at the Mykolas Romeris University from the September 2006. Her teaching areas cover the fields of e-Government and e-Democracy for the undergraduate students of Public Administration and master students of e-Government. She is also a consultant in leading the thesis of several M.S. students doing the research related to the issues of digital governance.

Previously for 2 years Eglė Malinauskienė worked at the Faculty of Informatics at the Vilnius Law and Business College. She had led the courses of Software Engineering and Object Oriented Modelling, and was responsible for the organisation and assessment of the internship of the last year undergraduate students of Computer Science. She has also prepared the methodological guidelines for the final projects of the students at the Faculty of Informatics, and was an advisor of 3 undergraduate students doing their final work in the design and development of the web portals.

Eglė Malinauskienė has received her Bachelor of Computer Science degree (2002) and M. S. of Software Engineering (2004) from the Kaunas University of Technology. She worked as a software developer for more than 4 years starting from 2001 in the projects “Automation of the Private Forests' Exploitation Planning Process” and “Export of Private Forests' Exploitation Plans to the e-Form Interoperable with the System of the State Department for Forest Exploitation”. Her responsibilities covered the requirements specification, software design, development and testing, preparation of user’s manuals, customers’ training and consulting.

Currently Eglė Malinauskienė is a full-time 2nd year Ph.D. student of Public Administration and Management at the Mykolas Romeris University. Her research focuses on the political, institutional, economical and social use, impacts and management of information technology in government. Other areas of scientific interest include the management of public IT projects and the new organisational forms of education in the modern universities. Eglė Malinauskienė has already served as the investigator in the number of national and European research projects, has several presentations and publications in the e-Government and inter-related fields.
